Paddock Wood

Paddock Wood is a small town in the heart of the hop picking country, but still has the village feel. Just 15 minute drive from Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells and 20 minutes from Maidstone it is an ideal location for those of you who want live in the country but still be within easy reach of a main town. The main line station takes you into London in just 40 minutes and the M20 and M25 are within easy reach. There is a selection of local shops including the butchers, bakers and not quite the candlestick makers, but you get the general idea.

There is a large supermarket and a department store on the doorstep and a variety of places to eat and drink, including a Brewers Fayre which is only one mile away and situated next to the Hop Farm Country Park . The Hop farm is famous for having the largest collection of Oast houses in the country and holds a range of events throughout the year to suit the whole family.

Paddock Wood also has its own sports centre which offers a variety of activities throughout the year. There are also a range of parks and recreation grounds in the area.

There is a local primary school in the town and several other smaller schools in the area. Mascalls, the local comprehensive school has a very large sixth form and as a visual arts college, is able to offer the widest possible art and technology curriculum.
