Tunbridge Wells

Just 45 minutes from London and 45 minutes from the beach, a good rail link and close enough to be on the motorway in 10 minutes.

Set in the heart of Kent, Royal Tunbridge Wells has so much going on that nobody ever gets bored here. There is just so much to do and see.

As well as a good selection of schools including primary, comprehensive, grammar and full and part time further education facilities, the town itself offers a variety of shopping for young and old. Starting with the Royal Victoria Centre which has a good selection of shops, a food hall and a crèche as well as ample parking.

The shopping continues outside right through the town down to chapel place and the famous Pantiles where you will find a variety of specialist shops, antique shops and quaint gift shops as well as open air cafes and bars. During the summer the spring which still flows in the Pantiles is open and you can sample a glass of health - giving spring water served by a traditional ‘dipper’. You may even be entertained by an open air band or a jazz concert in the evening.

Take a picnic and wander across the road to the common and Wellington Rocks or watch a game of cricket just like the gentry used to do. What ever your life style you will fit in here. If it’s a night out you want why not see what’s on at the Assembly Hall or Trinity Arts Centre or visit one of the many restaurants or bars.

Cinema, bowling, swimming, walking, sport, clubs, dancing, the list is endless. Not to mention the Seven Wonders of the Weald... Just 10 minutes drive away you have Bayham Abbey, Bewl Water, Scotney Castle, Bedgbury National Pinetum, Lamberhurst Vineyards, Marle Place and Finchcocks.

And another interesting little fact... Tunbridge Wells was recently voted one of the top 10 happiest towns to live in the UK! It's not hard to see why.
